Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Nmail collects, uses, shares, and deletes information when you use the Nmail website and email digest service.
Information We Collect
We collect the information needed to run the service. This may include your email address, optional profile details from a sign-in provider, authentication records, session records, digest instructions, setup chat messages, timezone and sending preferences, sent-email history, and rate-limit records.
Digest instructions and setup messages may contain information you type into Nmail. Please do not enter sensitive personal, financial, medical, legal, or confidential information that you do not want processed by the service.
How We Use Information
We use your information to sign you in, save and manage your digest, generate email updates, send those updates, avoid repeating information in future emails, debug and secure the service, enforce rate limits, and prevent abuse.
AI Processing
Nmail uses AI services, currently Gemini, to help continue setup conversations, draft digest instructions, search for current information, and write digest emails. To do that, Nmail may send your setup messages, digest instructions, and recent sent-email summaries to the AI provider. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated, so important details should be checked against original sources.
Email Delivery
Nmail uses Resend to send sign-in links and digest emails. Digest emails include an unsubscribe link. Using that link, or the Leave Nmail button in the app, removes your Nmail account and saved digest data.
Service Providers
Nmail may share information with service providers that help operate the product, such as hosting providers, database providers, authentication providers, email delivery providers, and AI providers. These providers process information to help us provide the service.
Account Deletion
When you choose Leave Nmail or unsubscribe from a digest email, Nmail deletes your user account, authentication records tied to that account, saved digest, setup messages, and sent-email history. If you sign in again later, you start fresh.
Nmail may retain limited rate-limit records after deletion, such as a key based on your email address, a count, and a window start time. These records are kept temporarily to prevent abuse and to avoid letting users reset quotas by deleting and recreating accounts.
Data Retention
We keep account and digest data while your account exists. Sent-email history is kept to help future digests avoid repeating old information. Rate-limit records are retained according to their abuse-prevention purpose and may remain after account deletion.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect the service, including authentication, server-side validation, rate limits, and signed unsubscribe links. No internet service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.
Children
Nmail is not intended for children under 13. Do not use Nmail if you are under 13.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
